{"id":1711,"date":"2019-08-29T21:41:02","date_gmt":"2019-08-29T21:41:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/umang.pk\/2019\/08\/fatf-to-examine-pakistans-progress-in-plenary-meeting-on-oct-16-18\/"},"modified":"2019-08-29T21:41:02","modified_gmt":"2019-08-29T21:41:02","slug":"fatf-to-examine-pakistans-progress-in-plenary-meeting-on-oct-16-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/umang.pk\/en_us\/2019\/08\/29\/fatf-to-examine-pakistans-progress-in-plenary-meeting-on-oct-16-18\/","title":{"rendered":"FATF to examine Pakistan&#8217;s progress in plenary meeting on Oct 16-18"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div class=\"authorname\">\n<h3>    INP <\/h3>\n<p class=\"meta-date\">6:00 pm | 23 August 2019<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The FATF (Financial Action Task Force) will investigate progress on Pakistan&#39;s existing plan of action at the General Assembly from October 16 to October 18 in Paris.<\/p>\n<p>FATF officials said Pakistan&#39;s efforts on private TV news channels will be thoroughly analyzed at the meeting before further action is taken.<\/p>\n<p>He added that only FATF has the authority to change or blacklist Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>An official said the Asia Pacific Group (APG) assessed and expressed satisfaction with the effectiveness of Pakistan&#39;s measures to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the APG talks did not mention blacking Pakistan.
