Apple has long used its own processor on many devices, and Google seems to want something similar to its own hardware.<\/p>\n<p id=\"nJtvXi\">The chip, codenamed &quot;White Chapel,&quot; could be an 8-core ARM processor built using Samsung&#39;s 5 nanometer process. <em>Axios<\/em>. According to the report, the processor can be optimized to run Google&#39;s machine learning technology and specify a portion of the chip to improve the performance of the Google Assistant. <\/p>\n<div class=\"c-float-right\">\n<aside id=\"jPgCm5\"><q>This chip is obviously codenamed &quot;Whitechapel&quot;<\/q><\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<p id=\"oDDz6S\">Google already makes its own chips for other functions of the device. For example, some Pixel phones have a security chip called Titan M, while Pixel 4 has a coprocessor called Pixel Neural Core.<\/p>\n<p id=\"xlivgj\">However, the current main processor of Pixel is produced by Qualcomm. By switching to a custom processor designed by Google to optimally run Google&#39;s software and services, Apple&#39;s A-series chips can improve your future Google hardware usage experience in a way optimized to run iOS. It will also hurt Qualcomm.
