Ikram Sehgal resigned as director and chairman of the K-Electric (KE) board on Wednesday "for personal reasons," a spokesman for the utility said in a statement.<\/p>\n
The board of directors of KE had elected Sehgal as president in January after the resignation of former president Tayyab Tareen.<\/p>\n
In accordance with the requirement of the Business Ordinance, 1984 and KE regulations, the board of directors of KE will appoint a new president at its next meeting, the statement said.<\/p>\n
With over 40 years of business experience, Ikram Sehgal is the president of Pathfinder Group Pakistan, which employs several thousand people throughout Pakistan.<\/p>\n
A veteran of the armed forces, Sehgal is the author of several books and has served on the boards of many companies, including Bank Alfalah, for 16 years.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/pre>\n<\/pre>\n
