JayJust when the BJP finally seemed ready to elect a president, the needle moved back again with demands to first find a new vice-president for the country. Never mind that it has been more than a year since the current President Jagat Prakash Nadda’s term ended. This is an extension of one and a half years from the original retirement date of January 20, 2023. The vice-presidential election is scheduled for September 9, which may be followed by a cabinet reshuffle and Bihar elections.
