Pak stand on Palestine remains unchanged fo. ISLAMABAD: Pakistan said on Thursday that it was participating as an observer in a Sea Breeze naval exercise hosted by Ukraine along with Israeli personnel, and said its principled position on the Palestinian issue remained unchanged.
“We have been consistently calling for a two-state solution, with the pre-67 border and Al-Quds al-Sharif, the capital of the Palestinian State,” Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said, speaking at a weekly news briefing here.
Chaudhry said Pakistan will continue to play a constructive role in the Afghan peace process.
Pakistan has worked closely with the United States to achieve lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan and will continue to work with the United States and the international community in this regard, Chaudhri said. He said Pakistan hoped the Afghan parties would agree on a comprehensive, broad, and comprehensive joint solution. He reiterated that there is no military solution to the conflict. media reports say
Asked for comment on Afghan President Ashraf Ghani’s recent Capitol Hill statement, Chaudhri said instead of falling into a game of denunciation, Afghan leaders should devote all their energies to making the peace process a success. He welcomed a recent report by the UN Secretary-General highlighting the indiscriminate targeting of Kashmir with pellet guns in India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
He urged the international community to recognize the plight of oppressed Kashmir children.
He said last week’s meeting in New Delhi was another attempt by the BJP government to further marginalize the Kashmiri people to perpetuate India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir. He said the meeting further exposed the lies of the Indian narrative about the so-called normality of the occupied valley.
A spokesperson told IIOJ & K that any action aimed at bringing about illegal changes would not be accepted by Kashmir and Pakistan would be steadfastly opposed. He said the only viable option would be to settle the Kashmir conflict in accordance with a UN Security Council resolution and the aspirations of the Kashmir people.
