Friends monkey trainer calls David Schwimmer despicable says he was jealous of marcel. David Schwimmer, best known for his role as Ross Geller on the sitcom Friends, was dubbed “despicable” by Monkey Marcel’s trainer for his old and more recent references to monkeys.
In a Friends Re-Union special episode that aired earlier this year, Schumer talked about filming his own scene with a capuchin monkey that his character had been keeping as a pet for a while. He talked about his frustration with the monkey not doing his job properly.
Here is my problem, he said, The monkey was obviously trained.
It had to work just right at the perfect time. What inevitably started to happen was that we were all going to be messed up with the choreography work timed out and the monkey not doing its job properly. So we will have to reset it. I have to go back because the monkeys didn’t understand it properly.
But Mike Morris told the British tabloid The Sun that it wasn’t true and the actor was “jealous” that the monkey got more laughs than he did. “I’ve never seen Friends because of Schwimmer’s remarks about monkeys,” he wrote in the publication. I turned it down after being interviewed after animals were written on the show.
He said they were going to bite him and throw shit at him. they didn’t do anything. That’s not true. Nothing happened when I was there. I didn’t say it then, but I do now. Of course, I didn’t watch the reunion interview, but I’ve heard Schwimmer say from others. I don’t agree.
If he loses his timing when we want to be true. Schwimmer got along well with the monkeys for the first few episodes and was happy to be there. But people will laugh at the monkey and I guess he’s jealous because he’s not about to get a laugh.”
“I think it’s despicable that he still hates her,” he added. Marcel stayed for more than a season, appearing in The One With The Monkey and episodes.
