Dia Mirza is back at work after embracing motherhood chats with Disha Ravi about the climate crisis. Hours after announcing the birth of her son Avyaan Azaad Rekhi, Dia Mirza returned to work via Instagram to chat with activist Disha Ravi in detail about the ongoing climate crisis.
Dia started her chat by thanking her fans for her love for her family.
She also noted that the present generation must leave the planet in good condition so that children can have a good future. Dia Mirza said, “Disha is a 22-year-old climate activist from Bengaluru, India. She is one of the most resilient, brave, and inspiring young people I work with @fridaysforfuture.india.
“I have witnessed my grandparents who are farmers and this has led her on the path of personal questioning and action #ForNature. She is passionate about MAPA – ensuring that the voices of the most affected people and communities are represented in climate dialogue and negotiations.”
Disha Ravi, a member of the Friday for Future India movement, said she came from a farmer family, so she saw how water scarcity could affect field workers. The 22-year-old activist spoke with Most Affected People & Areas (MAPA) about MAPA’s representation in the global climate dialogue.
Disha also pointed out that tackling the climate crisis is urgent and she wants to pursue that mission as a journalist and writer. Dia Mirza has been extremely vocal about climate change and the growing use of sustainable products for environmental protection.
