Actor Arvind Rathod dies in Ahmedabad at 83. Famous Gujarati film and theater actor Arvind Rathod died Thursday of elderly-related complications in the Paldi district of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
A native of Bhavnagar, Saurashtra, Rathod was 83 years old and his nephew Jagruti and her son Rhythm survived.
“His uncle was in bed for a while,” Jagruti told Indian Express. He was diagnosed with Covid-19 a few months ago but has recovered. But due to age-related issues, I have been in bed ever since.” Rathod was single and moved to Ahmedabad with his nephew after leaving his acting in Mumbai.
Known for his villain role in Gujarat films, Rathod was also popular in Gujarat theaters. He also acted in Hindi films. Before starting his career as an actor, Rathod worked as a photojournalist.
