World Press Photo Digital Storytelling Contest 2020

We invite you to enter the World Press Photo Digital Storytelling Contest 2020. Opened to short documentary films and interactive productions, Digital Storytelling Contest recognizes and rewards visual storytelling formats embodied in digital technology.

The 2020 Digital Storytelling Contest is the 10th contest first introduced by the 2011 World Press Photography Foundation as & # 39; Multimedia Contest. The tenth edition seeks to draw more attention to the various formats available on the digital platform, and the unceasing development of documentary films and interactive storytelling.

category

The Digital Storytelling Contest presents visual stories in three categories:

  • Interactive
  • Long video
  • Short video

reward

  • Three candidates from each of three categories were invited to the World Press Photography Festival in Amsterdam. Representatives of each nomination will be paid for travel and accommodation by the World Press Photo Foundation.
  • Candidates in each category will receive a diploma and Golden Ah or higher awarded at the annual awards ceremony.
  • The Digital Storytelling Contest features two headline awards: World Press Photo of the Year Interactive and World Press Photo of the Year Online Video of the Year.

eligibility

  • This contest will be open to digital storytellers, visual journalists, producers and entry coordinators, and submissions will include submissions from professional visual journalists.
