Quintet set to return with PRIDE vs UFC events

Quintet is back and this time the promotion chose the MMA team rather than the traditional focus on the BJJ partnership.

Watched Kinecktic take the mantle to grab the team in Fight Pass in 2019, but many fans have asked for the return of Quintet, led by Sakuraba. According to a recent announcement, Quintet will be bigger than ever.

Following the official announcement of the UFC 244 PPU, Quintet Ultra is expected to showcase a team battle between ZUFFA-owned promotions with PRIDE, WEC, Strikeforce and UFC in December.

There was no mention of the team, but it would be safe to assume that Sakuraba will lead the PRIDE team. PRIDE is rich in former ADCC champions who have fought in the company, so you can find out who can get the mat.

UFC has the best access to talent, but it's still visible when an active roster fighter appears. It's invincible if UFC formed the teams Kron Gracie, Demian Maia, Davi Ramos, Fabricio Werdum, and Gilbert Burns.

Quintet Ultra crashed in Las Vegas in December, although the date was not officially announced, it is likely to be on the weekend of UFC 245 Pay-Per-View (PPA).
