Tushar Dalvi was born in Pimpri, a suburb of Pune, Maharashtra. After completing primary education at a local school, Dalvi entered Ness Wadia College of Commerce, Arts and Science to graduate. He majored in business administration. He was good at art since childhood and actively participated in cultural activities in college.

Tushar Dalvi began his acting career in 1992 with the Marathi romantic drama “Jiwalagaa”. His Hindi film debut began in 1997 with the film “Bandh Jharoke”. Emotional story of reunion of mother and son. The film was critical and commercially successful.
Since then, he has appeared in such films as "Mr. Laute", "Debrai", "Man Churade", "Cada Cheat" and "My Bridge".
