Qatar University Introduction

Qatar University, founded in 1977, Qatar University is one of the major institutions in the United States that promote higher education. Qatar University Scholarship

Qatar University has 10 universities. Each of these colleges has its own programs and specializations to meet the academic needs of its students. Scholarship Types of Qatar University

There are currently three big scholarship categories at Qatar University. Each major category has its own list of scholarships available to all students. Let's look at some of these scholarships.

Competitive Scholarship

  1. Qatar University Scholarship
    • This is available to students enrolled on campus at Qatar University. They are nominated by the appropriate embassy and can apply directly to the university. This scholarship is awarded only to Qatar citizens by the University of Qatar.
  2. Qatar Scholarship EHH for Academic Excellence
    • This is awarded by the University of Qatar to top graduates from high school who have received outstanding scores on the Qatar Secondary Education Exam. Only 25 boys and 25 girls are awarded each year.
  3. Outstanding Achievement Scholarship
    • This is given to current undergraduates at Qatar University and has shown impressive academic performance during university courses.

Non-Competition Scholarship

  1. GCC National Scholarship (Embassy)
    • This is a scholarship awarded to students from GCC countries at Qatar University. At least have a high school diploma or equivalent to your country. Each GCC country has a fixed number of scholarships. This scholarship may be postponed for the next second semester in the same school year, but not for the following year.
  2. GCC Qatar Completion Scholarship
    • This is a scholarship offered by Kakata University for students from GCC countries and offering Qatar High School Certificate.
  3. Qatar University Staff Scholarship
    • This is a scholarship awarded by the University of Qatar to children of all university staff. However, only three scholarships are offered to three working employee children during that period.   1. Education College Diploma Scholarship
    • Qatar University also offers several scholarship programs for students who wish to enroll in a diploma program. This scholarship is offered by the College of Education.
  2. Short-term Scholarships for Non-native Programs Arabic Program
    • Special scholarship for future learners interested in learning Arabic. This scholarship is for non-native speakers outside of Qatar. The people behind this program are the Scholarship and International Admissions section along with non-native Arabic programs. Candidates who wish to apply for this scholarship may apply individually or be nominated by an institution associated with the University of Qatar. However, each scholarship has different scholarship requirements. However, a common criterion that all students wishing to apply for these scholarships must meet is that they must be first bachelor's degree students and students who want to transfer to Qatar from another university. If you are an applicant without a degree, a visiting student, or a student who wants a bachelor's degree, you are not eligible for a scholarship.

Important days

There are a few important dates to keep in mind before applying for Qatar University-sponsored scholarships. Pay attention to the following dates.   • Sunday, October 13, 2019: Beginning online application for international candidates, new candidates and current Qatar University students.
  • Sunday, October 13, 2019: Beginning submission of scholarship documents for new candidates and current Qatar University students.
  • Tuesday, November 5, 2019: End of online scholarship application for international applicants, new applicants and current Qatar University students.
  • Thursday, November 7, 2019: Deadline to submit required scholarship documents for new applicants and current Qatar University students.
  • Sunday, December 8, 2019: Online application for exemption for Qatar college students begins.
  • Thursday, January 9, 2020: End of online exemption application for Qatar university students.

How to apply

Would you like to apply for one of these scholarships? Well lucky! There are two ways to apply for scholarships offered by Qatar University.

University of Qatar

  1. Students already enrolled at Qatar University can apply for scholarships through their myQu Portal account.
  2. Log in to your account at my.qu.edu.qa by entering your existing QUID and password.
  3. After logging in, click on the “myAcademics” tab.
  4. Find the "My Banner Quick Start Menu" channel and click Home> Student Services.
  5. Finally, click on the "Apply for Scholarship" button.
  6. Once you have selected your chosen scholarship, click on “Submit”

Qatar University Freshmen

  1. If you are a freshman at Qatar University, you can access the admissions application system and start applying for scholarships.
  2. You need to create a new user account when starting the application.
  3. After creating an account, you need to use your login ID and pin to access the system.
  4. After logging in, you will see a display page showing 13 options. Click on option number 11 with the “Scholarship Application”.
  5. Choose your scholarship. Click "Continue."
