MacOS 10.15 Catalina offered Mac owners a new app for music, Apple TV and podcasts in early October.

Catalina also includes a new "Sidecar" feature that extends or mirrors the desktop to the iPad running iOS 13, which is used as the secondary display. This feature works "officially" only on certain Macs, such as the 2018 MacBook Air and the 2019 Mac Pro, but users can type long terminal commands to activate the sidecar on older Macs.

The default value is com.apple.sidecar.display. AllowAllDevices -bool true; The default value is com.apple.sidecar.display. hasShownPref -bool true; Open /System/Library/PreferencePanes/Sidecar.prefPane

Other new features that Catalina has in mind include Safari's weak password alert, the Mail app's "Blocker Sender" tool, an updated notification app, a larger photo preview, a full-screen tint, and a new Apple ID location in System Preferences. And more.

For Mac owners after the update, removing iTunes can be a big surprise. Rather than putting your entire media library in one place, you can now access albums from the Music app and TV shows and movies from the Apple TV app. Users can still buy media through these apps or click on the app name in the menu bar and then activate the iTunes Store interface Preferences.

For example, to activate the iTunes Store in Apple's new music app, follow this path:

Music> Preferences> General> Display: iTunes Store

According to previous reports, Mac owners can stop upgrading Catalina. Many users report missing or incomplete messages after installation. Others claim that moving email between mailboxes results in a blank message.
