Israeli Adesanya will face Robert Whittaker at UFC 243 this weekend, and the middle champ is already planning in mind after wearing a undoubted middleweight belt. The Nigerian-New Zealander predicted that he would defend this belt several times before moving to super fights with light heavyweight champion Jones Jones.
He once again used video game metaphors to describe his goals throughout his career.
Adesanya told Mac Life, “(Jon Jones) is definitely the boss of the game I want to play. “The Raiders Stadium in Las Vegas was exactly what happened. I decided in July when I was in Las Vegas.
“The middleweight division is cumulative now. Costa, I'll take care of it by the end of 2021. Maybe early. ”
Adesanya, who previously said Jones was "great" when there was no USADA, repeated that the light heavyweight champion no longer thought the same fighter.
“I” Adesanya answered the interviewer. “I saw him alive. If you see someone living you will know. No, he's not the same. ”
Adesanya and Jones have been moving back and forth in the media for the past few months. Jones led Adesanya's response, which helped prepare Whitaker and mocked the striking skills of the light heavyweight champion.
As for the probability that this super fight will actually happen, Dana White doesn't seem to be too against the idea … if Adesanya can use Whittaker's belt. As seven other middleweights can prove, it's a pretty big "what if".
