Google Pixel 4 and Apple iPhone 11 Pro | spec comparison

Google Pixel 4 is one of the best Android phones of the year. Google's pixel range offers the smoothest software experience you'll find with Android devices, quick updates and great cameras. I can say that the Pixel 4 is more like an iPhone than any other Android device, but how do you measure for Apple's current champion, iPhone 11 Pro?

The two are surprisingly common, but there are some important differences. Let's dig into the details.

Performance, battery life and charging

iPhone 11 Pro and Pixel 4 app

Both of these phones can run the latest apps and games without complaints, and navigation is smooth and seamless, but Apple's A13 Bionic outperforms Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855. In today's daily use, that extra grunt can be seen in the long run. The Pixel 4 has 6GB of RAM, and the iPhone's 4GB doesn't really show multitasking performance because Android and iOS handle memory management differently. Needless to say, both run like dreams.

Apple is good at extending battery life with relatively low capacity, but Google has been disappointed in the past. Pixel 3's stamina was bad. For some reason, we put a smaller battery on the Pixel 4, which gives the iPhone's 3,046 mAh capacity of 2,800 mAh. Both offer fast wired charging at 18W and support Qi wireless charging. IPhone 11 Pro wins with more power and better battery life.

Winner: Apple iPhone 11 Pro

Design and durability

It's amazing how similar this flagship is in design. Google's redesign for the Pixel 4 is amazing. The two-tone bag disappears, the fingerprint sensor disappears, and the notch is not visible. Instead, there is an orange or white matte glass finish or glossy black with a rounded square camera module on the top left. The front is mostly the screen, with a thin bezel at the bottom and a much larger bezel at the top. The round frame is aluminum and has a contrasting power button.

The upper left corner of the iPhone 11 Pro has a rounded rectangle camera module, and the glass is available in Apple's classic space grey, silver or gold, with the new option midnight green as the final option. The front of the iPhone has virtually no bezels, but its unique notch remains at the top of the screen. The frame is round, but iPhone's stainless steel makes it more durable. The iPhone is slightly wider, shorter, and heavier than the Pixel 4.

There is no real difference in durability. Both phones are IP68 rated and can withstand submersion. There is also a glass, front and back, so it is a smart move to hold the case. The stainless steel frame can make the iPhone slightly grainier.

Winner: Apple iPhone 11 Pro

Apple put a slightly larger screen on the iPhone 11 Pro at 5.7 inches of 5.8 inches of Pixel 4. Both displays are OLED, so the contrast is excellent and there is a dark black without backlight that distracts attention in the dark. It also offers excellent color accuracy and is bright enough to read in sunlight.

The resolution of the iPhone 11 Pro is slightly higher, which makes the hair sharp but it's hard to see the difference. The difference is that the Pixel 4 screen has a high 90Hz refresh rate. Higher refresh rates for fast-paced action and smooth navigation and scrolling make a real difference and Pixel 4 wins this round.

Google's Pixel phones dominated the list of the best camera phones in the last few years, but Apple won the title with the iPhone 11 Pro. The triple lens main cameras are all 12 million pixels. Standard wide-angle lenses have f / 1.8 aperture, telephoto lenses with f / 2.0 aperture, and new ultra-wide angle lenses with f / 2.4 aperture. It's a versatile combination, and Apple is built on improved image processing, new night mode, and stunning portrait mode.

On paper, the Pixel 4 looks impossible with a dual-lens primary camera with a 12.2 megapixel lens and a 16 megapixel telephoto lens combined with f / 1.7 aperture and a f / 2.4 aperture combined. But in the past, there was Google's excellent image processing capabilities that allowed you to get better results with inferior hardware, which may again be true. Pixels have amazing low light features and a really fun portrait mode. The iPhone has a 12-megapixel front camera, but the pixels use an 8-megapixel lens, but the aperture is larger to allow more light.

While we are in the process of testing how these cameras match exactly, it should be noted that the cameras are great and controversial for talented photographers. So you will not be disappointed. The area where the iPhone can be said to be better is video recording. You can record at higher frame rates and it's smoother.

Software and update

Pixel 4 lets you use Android 10, which is fully integrated with Google's latest apps and services. It's the most accessible and smooth version of Android available. iPhone 11 Pro lets you use iOS 13. iOS 13 offers a similar, easy and enjoyable experience. Whether you prefer Android or iOS depends on which one you use. The world of gesture navigation and awesome games and apps make these two platforms never get any closer than these two phones.

Google and Apple are quick to deploy security patches and version updates, so you can't separate updates. At this score, the Pixel Phone is the only Android phone that matches Apple's iPhone.

Face 4 is a new feature of Pixel 4, but Google phones match the Face ID of the iPhone. Apple devices tend to focus on the core experience, so there aren't too many other great special features, but they can point to the U1 chip, which is currently used to improve AirDrop, but may be more useful in the near future.

In contrast, the Pixel 4 bears the fruit of Project Soli's effort with a built-in radar that lets you choose gestures by hand to quickly wake up the phone, turn off the screen when you leave, skip music tracks, or turn off the alarm. In addition, the on-device language handling has greatly improved the Google Assistant, partly supported so that you can quickly respond to commands or questions and connect in a natural way without saying "Hey, Google" in between. Using existing features like Call Screen and Now Playing, Pixel 4 wins this round.

Winner: Google Pixel 4

Pricing and Availability

Google Pixel 4 starts at $ 799 and can be purchased from Google or major carriers. The Apple iPhone 11 Pro starts at $ 999 and can be purchased from Apple or a major carrier.

Total Winner: Apple iPhone 11 Pro

This is one of the closest competitions we have had and is evidence of today's flagship phone quality. Apple's iPhone 11 Pro is an excellent device that offers even greater performance, stamina and superior video capture. Google's Pixel 4 matches or is very close to the iPhone in most regions, much better than still photos, but loves the high refresh rate of the screen, offering unique features like air gestures and the best voice support experience. You can get $ 200 more cheaply right now.

The problem is that many people can easily make this decision. If you are using an iPhone, 11 Pro is required. If you're using a Pixel, you'll need a Pixel 4. You may want to use iPhone because its battery life has improved significantly.
