The US military and the Georgia Department of Correction are finding accidentally released child rapists.

Tony Maycon Munoz-Mendez, 31, was found guilty of rape and sexual assault in Gwinnett County. He has been held in three consecutive sentences since 2015.

WSBTV reported that Munoz-Mendez was released on Friday as an “error” at Rogers State Prison in Reidsville.

State Department spokesman Lori Benoit said, “We are using all the resources for a quick understanding of Munoz-Mendez. "The public should call 911 and do not approach."

An internal investigation is in progress to find out what caused the error and why he was released.

"The GDC's priority is to identify the offender as soon as possible, and we're currently focusing our search on all resources. As soon as an error was found, the GDC immediately put the resource in place. We don't have enough information to share our search, but we follow all the leads we have available. ”

Munoz-Mendez is 5 feet, 9 inches high and weighs about 186 pounds with brown hair and eyes.
