Islamabad: Federal Defense Minister Sheikh Lash called the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) on Thursday a game changer throughout the region.
He said this at an event held in connection with 70Work China Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing also attended China's anniversary.
Rasheed stressed the importance of friendship between Pakistan and China and said that the mutual project called CPEC was a game changer throughout the region.
CPEC is a collection of infrastructure projects currently under construction throughout Pakistan. Originally valued at $ 46 billion, the value of the CPEC project has increased over the years.
CPEC is aimed at rapidly modernizing Pakistan's infrastructure and strengthening its economy through the construction of modern transportation networks, numerous energy projects and special economic zones.
On November 13, 2016, CPEC was partially operated for maritime shipments to China and West Asia with China cargo being transported in excess ports, and some major power projects were commissioned in late 2017.
The Pakistani government has repeatedly repeated its commitment to CPEC.
