The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Adel Ahmed Al Jubeir, and the UAE Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, have secured the full support of their two countries "to resolve the situation created by India's unilateral steps in occupied Kashmir, "Public Relations between Services said Thursday.
The guarantee was given during the meeting of visiting ministers with the Chief of the Army General Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, in Rawalpindi.
According to the military media wing, issues of mutual interest were discussed, including the growing bilateral ties and the security situation in the region.
The foreign ministers appreciated Pakistan's role for peace and stability in the region. In turn, General Bajwa said that Pakistan is proud of its "special strategic and fraternal relationship" with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The ministers called yesterday the Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and the Prime Minister, Imran Khan.
Prime Minister Imran informed visiting Foreign Affairs ministers of the situation arising from the illegal and unilateral actions of New Delhi in occupied Kashmir, stating that the international community has the responsibility to urge India to stop and reverse its illegal actions and its aggressive policies and positions.
The prime minister also highlighted Pakistan's deep concern over the worsening of the humanitarian and human rights situation in Kashmir, controlled by India, due to the total blockade and the blackout of communications for a month in the occupied territory.
