LAHORE: The Kashmir problem is now verifiably internationalized due to Pakistan's energetic diplomacy for the cause and the snowball effect, which began with the rescission of Article 370 by the Indian government, the Minister of Relations said on Tuesday Outside, Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
Addressing a multi-party Kashmir conference, he said that Kashmir's cause was now accelerating day by day, adding that the Indian failure to defend his position is also evident. No country in the world believes in the Indian mantra of "integral part and internal problem," he said.
“World parliaments are now discussing the issue of Kashmir. The European Union is debating it today [Tuesday]. The Iranian Majlis has already done so and also the Turkish parliament. Some 27 congressmen have written to the United States government to take note of the situation in Kashmir. Around 50 members of the [British] The House of Commons has taken it. What additional evidence India now wants to realize that its point of view is defeated worldwide, ”Qureshi asked.
“The United Nations, despite the Indian resistance, resumed the matter after 54 years of abandonment. Although some of the OCI members decorated Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Islamic body, as an organization, supported the Kashmiris and supported their cause. All human rights organizations in the world have submitted one report after another, highlighting the abuses in the valley and asking the Indians to correct their behavior. All these factors lead to a conclusion: the Kashmir problem is now resonating throughout the world, "he said.
Underlining the role of the Pakistani and Kashmir diaspora, he said that when the government decided to mobilize non-resident Pakistanis and Kashmir, it turned out to be a great success due to their determined participation.
Thanking the governor of Punjab, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, who shared the stage with him at the conference, for his role in the mobilization, he said: "London, Brussels, Paris, Washington and New York have witnessed unprecedented demonstrations in favor of Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir. For the first time, August 14 was celebrated as Kashmir Day and August 15 as the worldwide black day. "
Not only the world agencies, but also the Supreme Court of India also ordered the restoration of normal life in Kashmir. “The SC told the government to lift the curfew, return the communication network to Kashmir and ensure normalcy in the valley. It also allowed Ghulam Nabi Azad, leader of the opposition opposition party, which was arrested and returned earlier when he tried to visit the valley, to go there, "said Qureshi.
The conference adopted a resolution of 11 points at the end, which condemned the Indian step to rescind Article 370 and pledged to support the cashmere in their struggle.
Supporting the strong diplomatic impulse of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the conference asked the world community to guarantee the resolution of the Kashmir conflict in accordance with the UN resolution.
