Qureshi stressed that measures taken by India in the captured Jammu and Kashmir threatened peace and stability in the region.
With human rights deteriorating in India's occupation of Jammu and Kashmir, he said that five weeks later, his Iranian side had caused tremendous pain to the people of Kashmiri who had no access to hospitals, medicines and food.
The Foreign Minister stressed that India's actions violated the UN Charter, relevant Security Council resolutions, international law and India's promises.
Gravity in the situation required the complete release of curfew, elimination of restrictions on movement, peaceful assembly, the provision of food and medicine, and the release of political prisoners.
The foreign minister thanked Iranian leaders and Iranians for supporting the oppressed people of the occupied Jammu and Kashmir in India.
Javad Zarif thanked detailed briefings and repeated concerns about human rights deterioration and humanitarian conditions in the occupation of Jammu and Kashmir in India, reaffirming Iran's Kashmir recognition. The two foreign ministers agreed to remain involved in the evolving situation.
Qureshi also discussed the current situation in Kashmir in a dialogue with Bangladeshi Dr. AK Abdul Momen and Bangladesh Foreign Minister.
The Foreign Minister responded with Bangladesh on the illegal and unilateral action of India to change the state of conflict between Jammu and Kashmir, in violation of international law and UNSC resolutions.
Qureshi stressed the continued deterioration of human rights and humanitarian conditions in the occupations of Jammu and Kashmir, including severe food shortages and life-saving medicines, telecommunications interruptions and complete closures over the last 30 days.
He stressed that the actions taken by India in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir entailed significant risks to peace and security in the region.
Bangladesh's foreign minister emphasized the importance of dispute resolution through dialogue and debate. The two ministers agreed to keep in touch.
Separately, FM Qureshi presided over the conference, which was established in a foreign office. The Kashmir situation was discussed at a meeting attended by civil and military officials.
The meeting decided to continue supporting the cause of Kashmir until it became the ultimate solution.
