The last time ODI was abandoned in Karachi was caused by the authorities' conflict between Pakistan and Australia because of this boom in 1988.
The shower started around 1:20 pm local time on Friday.
Toss is originally scheduled to be held at 2:30 pm local time and the first ball will be bowling at 3 pm.
The second game will be held at the same location on Monday.
