KARACHI: Nine ambulances from the Dr. Ruth Pfau Karachi Civil Hospital have been out of service for several months and the hospital administration has not attempted to repair them, sources at the CHK said on Saturday.
They said there were 14 ambulances in the hospital for patients and nine of them were out of service with various problems. They said that now only five ambulances were used to transport patients and staff.
The sources said that operational ambulances also urgently required maintenance. In addition, they said that nine ambulances, including two Mercedes, four high-roof vans, a Toyota ambulance, were stationed in the hospital, since they were not in a position to circulate.
