Minister discusses measures to spur Islamic Tourism in Punjab

LAHORE – Minister of Tourism, Rai Taimoor Bhatti, presided over an important meeting at the Tourism Authority on Monday to review the progress of Islamic tourism.

Representatives from different departments offered various proposals, including promoting Islamic tourism, problems associated with starting bus services, and solutions for promoting pilgrims.

The minister noted that not only parking, but also erosion will be eliminated and other problems will be solved to facilitate pilgrims' access to other sanctuaries, and with women and children that pilgrims should not face any problems and difficulties in this regard. .

The local secretary, Taimoor Bhatti, ordered that wheelchairs should be prepared for pilgrims with disabilities, and that ramps should be erected on the shrine so that people with physical disabilities can easily access the shrine.

He said in a meeting that Islamic tourism began in Lahore and later that the project will be introduced throughout the state, including Multan. He must provide pilgrims with safety, provide clean drinking water, clean, clean toilets and other related facilities, and complete incomplete work as soon as possible so that people do not suffer.

Taimoor Bhatti said the Punjab government was determined to promote Islamic tourism. MD PTDC Tanveer Jabbar from Auqaf, Transport, Urban, Capital and Archeology also attended the meeting.
