Interstate 10 reopens between Beaumont and Winnie after floods

The Texas Department of Transportation said last week that the 10th Interstate Highway reopened between Beaumont and Winnie after flooding in Imelda, a tropical depression.

Some of the highways still have water and are only open in one lane, TxDOT said.

Interstate 10 is closed in both directions after a steep barge struck the bridge on the San Jacinto River on Friday. The lane to the west detours south at Spur 330 and west to SH225 from SH146 south.
