Foreign Office briefs P5 envoys about Indian propaganda against Pakistan – Pakistan

Acting Foreign Secretary Moazzam Ahmad Khan informed the resident ambassadors of P5 countries (permanent members of the United Nations Security Council) in Islamabad on Thursday about the recent propaganda emanating from India against Pakistan, he said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (FO).

"Referring to the intensified and concerted Indian campaign against Pakistan, especially in recent days, he (Khan) emphasized the aggressive and belligerent statements emanating from India, especially the Indian army, including unfounded and unfounded accusations of & # 39; terrorist camps & # 39; ". in Pakistan, the statement said.

Indian senior military commanders have been making provocative statements about the presence of suspected terrorists who "plan to infiltrate India" and the activation of "terrorist camps" in Mansehra, Rawalakot and Muzaffarabad in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the FO, a similar "poisonous rhetoric" is shared in the Indian media against Pakistan.

"These Indian statements signify their desperate attempts to divert the attention of the international humanitarian nightmare community in Jammu and Kashmir, occupied by India, where Indian atrocities, including curfew and communication blockade continue for more than 50 days".

On August 5, the government of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had stripped the cashmere of constitutional rights they had for seven decades through a hasty presidential order. Since then, there has been an indefinite curfew in occupied Kashmir, while elected leaders are still under house arrest.

The FO said that the Indian statements "only vitiate an already tense environment" and are a threat to regional peace and stability.

He made it clear that Pakistan does not want confrontation, but will give an adequate response in case of any misadventure or false flag activity by India.

"Pakistan strongly rejects these unfounded and unfounded accusations that are being used to construct the land to preventively justify any Indian misadventure / false flag operation by the Indian armed forces along the Control Line or elsewhere," he added. .

The FO called on the P5 countries to ask India to substantiate their fallacious claims about the presence of so-called "terrorist camps" in Pakistan.

"Pakistan is ready to provide full cooperation to delegates from P5 countries or diplomats from any other country who wish to visit any of the supposed places to see for themselves that such Indian accusations are totally unfounded and a simple rhetoric, to deceive the international community, as well as the Indian domestic audience, "he added.
