ISLAMABAD: Speakers at an event here said that Pakistan and China would face shoulder to shoulder during each internal and external challenge.
They commended the role of China on the issue of Kashmir and thanked the continued support of the Kashmir people who have been facing atrocities at the hands of Indian forces.
The event held to observe the 70th anniversary of the People's Republic of China was organized by the Pak China Institute in a local hotel.
Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing said that China was also celebrating the seven decades of friendship with Pakistan. He said China will continue to support Pakistan to obtain justice for the people of Kashmir.
“Pakistan is China's most sustained friend and supported us in all matters. In the 1960s, Karachi was the must stop for us while traveling to Europe. In the 1980s, when China opened, we came to Islamabad to know its economic model. Both countries have always supported each other and the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is the most recent development of relations, ”he said.

"We have to become strong enough to face the challenges and we have to build strong economic relationships and links between people," he said.
Jing said that all political parties in Pakistan had very good relations with the Communist Party of China.
The Vice President of the National Assembly, Qasim Suri, said that China always supported Pakistan and even condemned the atrocities of Indian forces in Kashmir.
He said the current government was sincere to build good relations with neighboring countries.
"China has removed 800 million people from poverty over the past 20 years, which is an example to the world."
Senate chamber leader Shibli Faraz said both countries had very good and strong relationships.
“Relations between countries face problems, but Pakistan and China have never faced any problems. People from both countries also love and respect each other. The Chinese ambassador has played the role of a bridge between the two countries and has become very famous in Pakistan, "he said.
The president of the Kashmir Committee, Fakhar Imam, said that both countries had excellent relations and that over the next five years China would become the world's largest economy.
Former Interior Minister Rehman Malik said those who forgot their ancestors cannot make progress.
“We must remember that it was Zulfikar Ali Bhutto who built relations with China and then it was Asif Ali Zardari who made efforts to maximize relations. I suggest that we should talk about the development of the country. China has supported us and has always supported us on the issue of Kashmir, ”he said. The head of the Pak China Institute, Mushahid Hussain Syed, said both countries had very close relations and always supported each other.
“We are not only neighbors, but our hearts also beat. I suggest that there should be continuity in policies because that is how China has progressed, ”he said.
