3,377 dengue cases reported in Punjab hospitals in 2019: report – Pakistan

The Punjab health department revealed on Saturday that 199 cases of dengue have been reported in several hospitals in the province during the last 24 hours, bringing the account to 3,377 since the beginning of this year.

According to a report issued by the department, 2,608 patients, out of a total of 3,377, were discharged from hospitals after treatment.

The health department report said that six dengue patients across the province are in intensive care units, while the rest are out of danger.

During the last 24 hours, 119 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals throughout the province.

The report, citing the Advisory Group of Experts in Dengue, revealed that eight people died of dengue during the period from January 1 to September 27.

On the other hand, the provincial government has also accelerated its efforts to destroy the larva and dengue mosquito reproduction.

In this regard, government teams reviewed 233,761 indoors and 70,647 outdoor places and destroyed larvae at 1,707 points.

Similarly, 17 people were arrested and another 740 were warned during the last 24 hours for violating the rules and regulations established for dengue prevention. The authorities also filed 76 cases against different commercial locations and sealed nine commercial premises.

Giving a breakdown of the statistics, the report revealed that 13 cases of dengue de Lahore, 148 of Rawalpindi, six of Mandi Bahauddin, four of Gujranwala and Gujrat, three of Muzaffar Garh and Sargodha, two of Nankana, one of each have been reported. one. from Fasialabad and Shekhupura, while Multan did not report any cases during the last 24 hours.
