PCB names panel to interview coaching staff – Newspaper

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) formed a five-member panel on Wednesday, with two independent and three of its own, to interview candidates for the roles of the national side technical staff.

The panel includes former test captain Intikhab Alam, who had previously been the managing coach of the Pakistan team, who won the 1992 World Cup and the manager of the national team that won the World Twenty20 in 2009.

The other members of the panel are former test batter Bazid Khan, son of former Pakistan captain Majid Khan, who is now a respected cricket commentator, PCB board member Asad Ali Khan, the chief executive of PCB , Wasim Khan, and Zakir Khan, the director of the PCB. Cricket.

"Interviews for the role of head coach and bowling coach will take place on Thursday after which the panel will send its recommendations to the president of PCB, Mr. Ehsan Mani," a PCB press release said Wednesday. “Interviews for batting and strength and conditioning trainers will take place after the position of the main coach is filled.

"To maintain confidentiality, the PCB will not disclose the names of the candidates, which will appear in the interview process," the press release concluded.

The seats were vacant after the administration of the previous team headed by Mickey Arthur could not obtain the extension in his term of three years after the recent World Cup, in which Pakistan could not qualify for the semifinal in the career rate net.
