Islamabad: On Tuesday, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) accepted a protest against the appointment of two new members by the Pakistan Election Commission (ECP).
This application states that an appointment has been made without meeting legal parameters.
On August 23, Supreme Court Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan rejected the oath of two government nominees for elected surveillance agencies in Sindh and Balochistan on August 23.
The CEC noted that in their case the appointment violated Articles 213 and 214 of the Pakistan Constitution.
