According to the spokesman for the district police officer, Zeeshan Randhawa, the thief was identified as Salahuddin Ayubi of the Kamonkay district of Gujranwala.

A case has been registered against the suspect under Sections 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property), 427 (mischief causing damage in the amount of fifty rupees), 454 (search or trespassing to commit a crime punishable by imprisonment) and 380 (theft in housing, housing, etc.) of the Criminal Code of Pakistan.
