2 dead, 4 injured in ‘indiscriminate’ Indian shelling across LoC

Rawalpindi: On Tuesday, when Indian forces relied on unprovoked shooting along the control line (LoC), at least two Azad Kashmir civilians, including three-year-old girls, were martyred and three were injured.

The incident occurred in the sector of Nekrun, where three homes were damaged by cross-border attacks, a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISSP) said. "Indian military intentionally targeted the citizen population," he added.

According to the military press, the martyr turned out to be 45 years old Abdul Jalil and 3 years old Naustin. The injured was taken to the hospital.

The Neelum Valley was last bombarded by Indian troops targeting areas from Chilyana to Sharda using crowded bombs on July 30 and 31, killing four civilians and wounding at least 21 others.

But Kel and Gurez sub-valley avoided the shelling.

The casualties on Tuesday increased the death toll to 37, and the number of casualties rose to more than 170.
