LAHORE: Late Thursday night, at least 12 people were injured when three coaches of Rehman Baba Express on Karachi derailed with a locomotive near Toba Tek Singh.
According to the details, the passenger train was headed for Karachi from Peshawar when derailed in the Punjab area of Toba Tek Singh. The train stopped on the track affected by the accident.
The rescue team and emergency team immediately ran to the scene to move the injured to DHQ hospital.
The cause of the derailment is not yet known. The railway engineering team is working to remove derailed coaches from the track to restore train services.
