Since Bethesda revealed Rage 2 almost a year ago, PC players have been wondering what the system requirements will be to run the game without problems on PCs. In a frequently asked question style response posted on the Bethesda support website, Bethesda revealed the minimum and recommended system requirements needed to play Rage 2.
If you want to run Rage 2 without problems and without stuttering or drops in FPS, Bethesda Softworks recommends that you have an Intel Core i7-4770 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X CPU with 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB or AMD Vega 56 8GB graphics card .
If you have a limited budget and still want to play Rage 2, Bethesda says you should at least have an Intel Core i5-3570 or an AMD Ryzen 3 1300X CPU with 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 780 3GB or an AMD R9 280 3GB.
In both cases, you must have a 50 GB storage space available on your hard drive. As Bethesda is pushing for a relatively larger world in Rage 2 compared to the original, the game requires a lot of disk space.
Another thing to keep in mind is that Rage 2 is always an online game, but it will not require a constant Internet connection. According to Bethesda, players will only need a live connection to access live events and additional activities in the open world. Players can still play the base game without being connected to the Internet.
For those who want to go into details, the complete system requirements to run Bethesda’s Rage 2 are as follows:
