16 AMD Ryzen 3000 CPU cores Initial filtered sample, clocks 4.2 GHz boost

16 core CPU prices AMD Ryzen 3000, AMD Ryzen 3 3200G, maximum temperature Ryzen 3000

The AMD Ryzen 3000 desktop CPUs will be launched in the third quarter of 2019, that is confirmed. However, AMD did not reveal any details regarding the CPU and now a 16 Core Ryzen 3000 CPU has leaked online.

The leak comes from the Twitter user TUM_APISAK. The leak also reveals a base and pulse clock for the 16 Core AMD Ryzen 3000 CPU.

Depending on the filtration, the CPU 16 Core Ryzen 3000 features a 3.3 GHz base clock and a 4.2 GHz booster clock. The CPU is based on the Zen2 microarchitecture.

If this leak is believed, AMD is bringing 16-core CPUs / 32 threads to the main users. However, take it with a grain of salt until AMD officially confirms it.

In addition, this filtered CPU is an early sample, which means that the final product may have a higher clock speed and could even touch the 5.0 GHz mark to increase the clock.

Also, these are not the only Ryzen 3000 CPUs that are filtered online. Previously, the Ryzen 9 3800X, Ryzen 7 3700X and Ryzen 5 3600X listings appeared online revealing their specifications.

The AMD Ryzen 9 3800X comes with 16 cores / 32 threads, 3.90 GHz base clock, 4.70 GHz booster clock and 32 MB of L3 cache. However, the specifications for Ryzen 7 3700X are quite interesting.

The Ryzen 7 3700X features 12 cores, a 4.20 GHz base clock and an amazing 5.0 GHz pulse clock. Or AMD has developed a new cooling technology or this pulse only applies to a single core.

The 5.0 GHz pulse clock in the 12 cores will put too much pressure on the CPU and its temperature will rise to the point where it becomes unusable. That is why overclockers use liquid nitrogen as a cooling solution while overblocking the CPU to its limits.

In addition to the CPUs, AMD has confirmed that its 7 nm Navi GPU for the launch of the third quarter of 2019. This means that both the desktop CPUs and the AMD GPU will be released between July and September.

According to another leak, the Navi GPU is Radeon RX 3080. In addition, the GPU is equivalent to Nvidia RTX 2070 and costs only $ 330.

Given that RTX 2070 can render video games with Ray Tracing in real time enabled, the next Navi GPU might also be able to render Ray Tracing.

The AMD GPUs will not be the only ones that will offer Nvidia a competition, since the latest generation consoles will also support Ray Tracing in real time. Sony has confirmed that PlayStation 5 has AMD Navi GPU and can play video games with real-time Ray Tracing enabled.

The first sample of Core 16 AMD Ryzen 3000 CPU later leaked, clocks at 4.2 GHz boost appeared first on SegmentNext.
